Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare have recently experienced widespread failures, taking large parts of the internet down for hours at a time. Experts I spoke with said that while advisors can't untangle the web of interconnected services, they can prepare their practice for the next outage by duplicating systems and creating local backups of sensitive data.
